Scallop Bay Shellfish Co

Shellfish hatchery & farms · Pocasset, Massachusetts

Scallop Bay Shellfish Company was started in 2020, when we bought an old boatyard in Pocasset, MA and transformed the boathouse on site into a state of the art shellfish hatchery. The production facility produces over 1,500 liters of live microalgae per day, millions of oyster, bay scallop and quahog seed animals per year, and serves as a platform to research and innovate to improve the US aquaculture industry — with every drop of incoming water filtered to one micron and UV-treated.
